Abstracts:
Results of an experimental study of transition processes from two dimensional to three dimensional wave regimes during isothermal vertically falling liquid film flow are presented. Instantaneous and averaged film thickness fields were obtained and analyzed. It is shown that the process of the transition to the three dimensional wave motion is accompanied by rivulets formation and the process of the rivulets development can be nonmonotonic. |
