SIMULATION OF THERMAL REGIMES CHANNEL-FREE HEATING PIPES IN REAL WORLD CONDITIONS Polovnikov V.Yu. National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University, Tomsk, Russia
Introduction Thermal regimes of heat pipes and thermal heat losses of heat pipes have a significant impact on the economy and efficiency of the heating systems. In this case, the main influence on the level of heat losses have thermal isolation and operating conditions of heat conductors. The rules and regulations of designing of thermal insulation based on simplified analytical ratios and do not take into account many factors and real processes. Therefore especially important to the development of new approaches to the design and analysis of operational modes of heat transfer systems. Purpose The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the capabilities of modern approaches to the study of thermal conditions and heat loss heat transfer systems on the example of a typical channel-free thermal network in real world conditions. Method The problem is solved by finite element method with using the Galerkin approximation. Studies were carried out on non-uniform finite element mesh. The number of items selected from the condition of convergence solutions, mesh refinement was performed by Delaunay’s method. Results Found that, in the framework of the problem of thermal heat loss of channel-free networks in terms of soil freezing and the snow cover in the area laying down of 8.91 - 15.86%, and an increase in the intensity of heat transfer on the outer contour of 6 times leads to increased heat loss to the 3.5%. The deviation between the heat loss of channel-free heating pipes with the freezing of the soil and the presence of snow in the area of gaskets and thermal losses computed at the statutory procedure is about 35-40%, which indicates the need to adjust existing rules for the design of thermal insulation of heat pipelines. The results obtained lead to the conclusion promising applications of the developed approach to the analysis of thermal conditions and heat loss of channel-free heating systems in real world conditions and the possibility of its use in the creation of energy-efficient heat transfer systems. |
