THE INFLUENCE OF IMPURITIES ON THE RELIABILITY OF THE FEEDWATER OF BOILER AND TURBINE EQUIPMENT

Abstracts:

Developed method of measuring of low concentrations of organic impurities in the purified water which allowed to detect that the existing water preparation methods do not allow deeply extract the organic substance from water. Presence of organic contaminants in the feed water boilers sharply increases the corrosive and erosive wear of the boiler equipment and pipelines. At the same time, the membrane water preparation methods allow the practically completely extract both mineral and organic impurities from water. It was determined that the electromembrane softener of water before reverse osmosis allows considerably reduce amount of salt for further ion-exchange softening, decrease mineralized waste disposal and reduce the consumption the ion exchange resin. Reliable exploitation of the reverse osmosis water desalting also increases using the concentrate recycling and periodic conservation of membrane cartridge by permeate at operation breaks of modules and blocks. Developed recommendations of correct operation of reverse osmosis plants allow providing the reliable operation up to 10 years duration without replacement membrane elements. This significantly increases the resource of boilers and turbine equipment.
