In the paper the investigation results of far vortex wake kinematical characteristics behind wind turbine model are presented. Experiments were carried out by using of Laser Doppler anemometry (LDA) and Particle image velocimetry (PIV). The PIV method allowed us to diagnose and reconstruct the instantaneous structure of 3D velocity field on longitudinal and transverse cross-section of vortex far wake behind the three-bladed wind rotor model at different tip speed ratios. Due to LDA method the pulsating characteristics were measured. Experimentally it was shown that the Strouhal number almost do not depend on tip speed ratio value in the far rotor fake, which is analogically present in vortex shading from cylinder ad sphere. Due to PIV technique measurements and conditional averaging the instantaneous velocity field of main harmonic was obtained.
