The reseaching results of gas-and thermodynamics of the deposition process of СdHgTe (CHT) layers in the vertical reactor. The problem researched using modern calculating technologies of hydraulic gas dynamics. The methods of mathematical modeling of the reactor’s gas dynamics, taking into account the compressibility of media, turbulence flow, heat transfer by convection and conduction have been developed. Existence of vortex formations in the reactor which render both negative, and positive influence on process has been established. A number of exploratory computational experiments aimed at finding ways to improve the uniformity of the deposited layers CHT have been done. The results of these experiments suggested specific measures relating to the modernization of the reactor geometry, as well as modification of process conditions.
