Abstracts:

The paper gives the results of a numerical simulation of coal combustion in the coal-fired boiler TP109 with low-NOx burners for Kurakhovskaya power plant. The main purpose of the simulation was to investigate the mixing process in the low-NOx burners and to study the influence of mixing process on furnace performance. Near wall flue gas consistency affecting the ash deposition was of interest as well. Various combustion schemes with staged fuel distribution and with flue gas recirculation are shown. Local and average parameters of combustion process obtained in calculation are given.
