STUDY OF SUNFLOWER HUSK CARBONIZATION PROCESS

Abstracts:

A new plant for carbonization of organic waste in a microchannel reactor is created. The techniques for impregnation of sunflower seed husks with water solutions are developed. Samples of husks after impregnation with distilled water, 5% aqueous solutions of NaOH, H3PO4, and 0,2% Сa(OH)2 are obtained. Pure samples and samples after impregnation were used to produce coal in a microchannel reactor with an average rate of husk heating 14-15 °C/min for 30 minutes with subsequent conversion of the heated husk layer at the constant temperature of 470-500 °C for 30 minutes and cooling to 100-120 °C. Yield of coal after carbonization was increased: 1.1 times after impregnation of husks with 0.2% water solution of Сa(OH)2, 1.3 times - with 5% water solution of NaOH, and 1.8 times - with 5% water solution of H3PO4 compared with yield of coal from the sample impregnated only with distilled water.
