Abstracts:

The results of development of passive thermal control system with low-temperature axial grooved heat pipes for providing of the thermal mode of microsatellite BIRD are presented, where the heat pipes (R&D, fabrication and qualification testing of NTUU «KPI», Ukraine) executed the function of effective transporter of heat with thermal resistance less than 0,1 K/W in the temperature range of -50...+60 оС and provide montage flexibility at thermal and mechanical connection of the compartments with precision devices and service equipment. Summary of qualification verification of heat pipes in accordance with the standard of ESA PSS-49 and analysis of operation of the thermal control system during flying exploitation on microsatellite BIRD.
