Abstracts:

The results of investigations of the heat and mass transfer in twisted tubes and fuel rods bundles of the space power propulsion plants are presented. In nuclear reactor the non-uniformity of volumetric heat generation forms the non-uniformity of temperature and velocity fields which are leveled by means of intensification of transfer processes. The study of heat and mass transfer was fulfilled by the original methods of zone heating and of heat diffusion from the point source. For generalization of experimental data the homogenized flow model is used. It is established, that the bundles of twisted fuel rods and tubes allow enhancing heat and mass transfer and leveling of temperature non-uniformity over the cross section of bundle. The methods of calculation of heat and mass transfer processes accounting for interchannel mixing and effects of non-stationary were developed.
